Join Us to Experience Sea Kayaking At Its Best!

Since the establishment of Hudson River Recreation in 1998, it has been our mission to bring ecologically responsible and sustainable alternatives to water based recreation to our local bodies of water. A key step in protecting any natural resource is to illustrate its value. By promoting kayaking, we encourage our clients to become paddlers and users of the local water resources. In doing so, we hope that the value of these waterways is evident, as is the importance of protecting, improving, and maintaining access to them. In addition, educating the public about the safe and appropriate ways to utilize these resources and to enjoy the sport and recreational possibilities of kayaking is paramount. In our opinion, education and safety go hand-in-hand. We are here to provide that education so people can get out and safely enjoy the natural waterways in their community. Our track record for safety and customer service is unequaled.

Hudson River Recreation is community-centered and always looking for ways to support local and like-minded causes. In an effort to paddle what we preach, Hudson River Recreation has joined 1% For The Planet, an organization that assists not-for-profit corporations in finding donations from organizations that pledge at least 1% of their gross profits to charitable donations. We have pledged at least this percentage of our sales to support non-profit organizations focused on environmental sustainability.

We have developed a partnership with The Leave No Trace Center For Outdoor Ethics, an organization that promotes the responsible enjoyment, active stewardship, and sustainable use of the outdoors. Our staff incorporates the principles of Leave No Trace in all of our outdoors experiences when appropriate. Training sessions are available as part of the programs we offer and as stand-alone sessions.
