Kayak Fundamentals
This instructional session will give you a solid foundation for getting started in kayaking. We will talk about essential gear, launching and landing your kayak, paddle strokes, tides and currents, plus several rescue techniques. This lesson teaches you skills every paddler should know to safely and comfortably enjoy kayaking. These classes take place on Tarrytown Lakes.

Kayak Rescue Lesson
This instructional session will give you a solid foundation on how to do self and assisted rescues such as paddle float rescue, stirrup rescue, and T-rescue to name a few.  Our Guides will talk about essential safety gear and how to deck your safety gear on your kayak.  This lesson teaches you rescue skills every kayaker should know to safely and comfortably enjoy kayaking.

Price: $99 per person
Lesson Duration: 3 hours

Private Instruction
Upon request we offer private lessons. These lessons are a great opportunity to focus on your skills that may need improvement or to concentrate on a specific new skill. These classes can take place on our Tarrytown Lakes location or on the Hudson River. 2 hour minimum for private instruction.

Price: $170 for one person for 2 hours, ½ price for each additional person in your group
