WANT A PEACEFUL KAYAKING EXPERIENCE? LOOK NO FURTHER

Located in Poughkeepsie, Quiet Cove Riverfront Park offers a unique view of both the natural splendor of the Hudson Valley, a window into the industrial past, and the evolving role the River plays in the region. Situated just north of the Marist College Campus, the Mid-Hudson Bridge, and The Walkway Over The Hudson State Historic Park, the former 1889 Poughkeepsie-Highland Railroad Bridge, paddlers launch from the protected cove the park is named after. Our boathouse in the park was purportedly used by the US Naval Academy’s Rowing Team when the championships were held on the Hudson up until 1949. The Dutchess County Park offers walking paths, fishing and observation docks, an ADA accessible kayak dock available for public use, and picnic areas.
